Organic Himalayan Pink Salt
Organic Pink Salt is a Himalayan Salt mined from the Punjab region in Pakistan. It gets its pinkish tint from trace minerals such as magnesium, potassium, calcium, and iron. Pink Salt in Hindi is known as Sendha Namak.
Its color ranges from pale pink to deep-tinted red. It has a coarse, grainy texture with large crystals. Apart from cooking, Organic Pink Salt is also used in making decorative salt lamps and spa treatments.
It is believed that the deposits of Himalayan salt were first discovered by the army of Alexander the Great. However, the first records of mining Himalayan Rock Salt come from the Janjua Clan in the 1200s.

Mining: Himalayan Rock Salt or Sendha Namak in Hindi is typically found in the Sindh mountain ranges in large crystal structures. The crystals are mined to extract salt from those deposits.
Washing and Sorting: After being mined and transported to processing facilities, the mined salt is washed to remove impurities, dirt, or other contamination. Later, it is sorted according to its size and quality.
Grinding: Organic Pink Salt is sold in different sizes- large crystals, finely grained, and huge chunks. The pink salt undergoes grinding to achieve the desired size and texture.
Ultimately, the pink salt is then packaged and sold.
Himalayan Salt in Hindi is known as Sendha Namak. While it does not expire, to maintain its quality, it should be stored in a cool and dry place. No moisture should come in direct contact with the salt.
